Onyx Dent is a small boutique dental practice in central Budapest. There are no ten chairs running side by side here, just a few specialists working at a calm pace, giving every patient the same attention. This page is about who we are, and why we do it this way.
Our story
We wanted to do it differently.
Dr. Hamid Ghanbarzadeh Darban comes from a family of orthodontists; the profession has been around him since childhood. After years of clinical work, one thing kept bothering him: in most places the patient is just a name on a list, and treatment runs like a conveyor belt. In 2022 he created Onyx in the heart of Budapest together with oral surgeon Dr. Mohammad Sanatkhani. A small practice where the pace is set not by the daily headcount, but by whether the patient truly understands what is happening in their mouth and can decide with a clear head.

With Hamid, orthodontics is never rushed. He understands the full picture first, then plans, and only then touches the teeth. He never pushes patients into a decision, and never promises what he cannot deliver. He sets the tone of the practice too: quiet, orderly, predictable. Whatever the brand stands for, you can trace it back to every one of his consultations.
I want my patients to smile with confidence, and to understand exactly why each step happens along the way. Their calm is the measure of my work.
